Actually maybe this is my most prized possession. One of my favourite Will Forte characters was presidential candidate Tim Calhoun. And one of my favourite lines ever uttered by Calhoun was, “Super Tuesday? If forced to make a choice, I’d go with soup. No offense, Tuesday.” Naturally, I wrote a letter to Will Forte when I was fifteen or sixteen telling him just that. He then sent me the actual blue index card that was used on air during Weekend Update. He wrote:
“By the way, this is the actual card I used on air for the Tim Calhoun segment. Sorry for the coffee stain - I had to fish it out of the garbage after the show! Thanks again for your letter!”
So maybe that’s one of my favourite things.
